It’s been such a fun and happy week celebrating Cleo’s 1st birthday. Whilst in the party spirit I thought I would share a couple of super easy and fun DIY party projects with you.
DIY Honeycomb lantern-
I picked up a few honeycomb lanterns from the $2 shop and I’ve just added some handmade tissue paper tassels to the bottom to make them a little more fun. The tassels are super easy to make. I just cut thin strips to a middle point and repeated this on both sides then twisted the top. They’re all tired together with pink ribbon. This little project will set you back a grand total of $2.50!
DIY washi tape bottles-
Washi tape is my new favourite thing! It comes in the most delightful and pretty colours and can transform your everyday items into pretty little things. This is such a cute way to add a little splash of colour to a plain bottle for less than $2.
DIY Colourful letters-
My Mum found these cute white letters for $5 each and I decided to give them a little make over. I’ve used a mixture of pretty paints, chevron wrapping paper and polka dot pink washi tape.
All of these fun little ideas are super easy & ridiculously cheap to do! You can find all of the items at a $2 shop (Tissue paper, paint, wrapping paper, letters, honeycomb lanterns, bottles, washi tape).
The cute pom pom pastel garland featured is from Adairs Kids. They still have the ‘Brights’ version available online and both can be found in-store. Shop HERE
